Unexpected Photo Day April 19, 2005

I returned from my trip up to the ridge by The Wedge, three days earlier, with only one glove and knew I had dropped it somewhere on the mountain - a perfect excuse to drive to the mountains after work and try to find it (actually, I woke up with a migraine and had to call in sick – I left Calgary at around 4 pm). Surprisingly, I found the glove almost immediately, about 30 metres away from where I parked the car. Given that the weather was perfect, I decided to drive the Highway 40/Smith-Dorrien loop and check out the views and scenery – they were stunning and yielded a few good photos. No hiking, no scrambling, no climbing, no mountaineering, no summits and yet it was a superb little outing.
