Scrambling with Mark.

Engadine has gained a reputation as a terrific ridge scramble and that reputation is well deserved. Once on the ridge the scrambling is very enjoyable. The big disappointment of the day was the weather. Both forecasts we checked looked perfect, the satellite images looked clear, but we spent much of the day under frustratingly cloudy skies – a real shame, given the beauty of the ridge and the incredible views in all directions. We even received a little snow at the summit. The alternate descent down west-facing slopes was tedious near the top, but snow slopes made easy work of it lower down. An enjoyable trek through forest, alongside a beautiful stream ended the day.
