Mist Mountain attempt
November 16, 2002
Solo scramble.
To make a long
and harrowing story a little shorter, this attempt of Mist Mountain via Daffern’s
route up the south side of the mountain came to an abrupt halt courtesy of
insane winds.
I made it about
halfway up the mountain, foolishly battling the elements en route. At one
point, the wind was so strong I was forced to lie on the ground. When that wind
started actually pushing me down the mountain as I lay there, I realized it was
time to turn around!
I’ll be back when
the weather is more cooperative and my brain is functioning on a less primal level!
