DAY 5 - More hiking
No trip to Moab is complete
without a visit to nearby Canyonlands and that was the plan for the final day
of our trip. Unfortunately, high clouds rolled in for the day and for the first
time in our 5 day stay we experienced surprisingly cold temperatures. Nevertheless,
the 3 short hikes we completed (Grand View Point, Upheaval Dome, and Mesa Arch)
were all thoroughly enjoyable, yielding great views of more of Utah’s outrageously
stunning landscape.
Upon returning to Arches, we
completed our last hikes of the trip – the Double, Turret and Windows arches.
All three were amazing!
Overall, I can’t rave enough
about the trip and the beauty of this part of the U.S. It was a fantastic experience
to share all of it with three great friends. Thank you again for the invite!!

The Day started with clear skies and the great rock scenery characteristic of the entire area
